Time-Distance envelope widths – what can they tell us?

In the study of Time-Distance Helioseismology, Gabor wavelets are fit to time shifted cross correlations. Five parameters are fit : amplitude, phase travel time, group travel time, frequency, and frequency width (envelope width). Typically only the phase and group travel time are analyzed. I discuss preliminary work to interpret the frequency width.
